Waterhouse Gardens, Manchester
Waterhouse Gardens sits at the centre of a three-acre estate on the site once home to Boddington's Brewery. Designed by architects Assael Architecture and Studio Power, the mixed-use development has 556 residential units across five towers, with a new public avenue of 30,000 sq ft of commercial space offering a mix of shops, bars, restaurants and office space.
The development is named after Alfred Waterhouse, the Victorian architect who designed Manchester Town Hall and London's Natural History Museum. It connects the Greengate and N.O.M.A neighbourhoods with the historic Medieval Quarter.
Apartments at Waterhouse Gardens
The residences are a collection of apartments, duplexes and penthouses across five terracotta towers. Living spaces are bright and adaptable, with recessed downlighting and laminate wood flooring.
Kitchens have bespoke cabinetry with gloss finishes and warm-toned lighting, with an integrated fridge and freezer, stainless steel oven and induction hob. Bathrooms and en-suites are tiled, with a full-sized LED backlit mirror and a bath and shower with bath screen.
Residents' Amenities at The Waterhouse Club
The Waterhouse Club is a private clubhouse for residents, with a concierge, a residents' lounge and a games area with table tennis and a pool table. The co-working lounge is designed for hybrid working, and the meeting room doubles as a private dining space. There is also a cinema.
The swimming pool and spa has a plunge pool, experience shower, steam room and sauna, and the relaxation suite has a vitality pool, lounge area and sunken garden. A 2,500 sq ft gymnasium and fitness studio is joined by a half-size basketball court and a squash court, and there is a cycle store.
Outside, residents have a private podium garden, and the development is surrounded by landscaped public realm.
